Sounds good. I'm not familiar with the rust preventive products you listed, but I do know there is a brush on liquid designed to stop rust. And once that dries you can repair any damage with standard auto body repair materials. Sounds like you don't have too much rust damage, and the fiberglass reinforcement is a good idea. However, keep in mind that once that stuff hardens, it's permanent (unless you enjoy grinding and dust), so be careful how much resin you use and where it's layered. Once the sound padding and carpeting go back in place, you may find a bulge that interrupts how the carpet lays, or how your foot sits to operate the accelerator. Use as thin a layer of fiberglass as possible is what I'm recommending. Just because you cook up a certain amount of catalyzed resin doesn't mean you have to use it all. And keep it bubble free. I'm sure the instructions explain the proper proceedure to keep bubbles and air pockets from developing, usually with a stiff brush that you use to lightly "punch" at the resin soaked glass cloth.
You're right about the fiberglass not needing rust protection. That would be a waste of rust proofing. Painting it with standard spray paint is the only thing I'd do.
