kevin, the r12 was removed because i had it removed by an a/c guy. i had heard that you shouldn't just add the r134 to a system that still has r12 in it. my system has no leaks. also, i've heard of other people just doing the conversion without removing any of the lines (to clean them) and also without replacing the expansion valve and dryer and without replacing the o-rings. basically they just started from where im at now with no r12 and just hooked up the hose and refilled with the oil and r134. is that bad?
