900T,
Hope all's well!
Your B202 engine assembly employed a very high quality engine assembly and the standard rebuild/refresh of wear components will not demand any special requirements. The high nickel block castings on these engines will rarely require more than a glaze break/hone (should not require oversize/boring) and reinstallation of the 90mm bore piston assemblies. Forged connecting rod assemblies and crankshaft will typically be reused and not in need of machine work. Rebuilding the B202 engines correctly could provide years of use and 100s of K miles.
Make certain that you replace all components with OEM and stay far away from the following:
1.) Cast iron piston ring assemblies without chromium treatment. Top compression ring should have a chromium (silver) finish to insure longevity/reliability. A cast iron top compression ring (dark grey finish) will be subject to premature wear and may crack under detonation.
2.) Make certain that connecting rod bearing replacements are tri-metal as was OEM (vandervall). For the turbocharged engine, do not use standard bearing replacements from sources such as Glyco/Federal Mogul, TRW, etc. as these will wear at a progressive rate and require frequent replacement.
Best of luck with your project and regards!,
