Ben thanks for the help but I have not seen any voltage drop or other changes on any of my extra gauges when this happens. However at this point I will not rule out anything as being the cause but here is a better description of my symptoms.
I normally drive Hwy w/ it at or around 75 mph w/ only short runs off the Hwy in town. When this problem occurs on the Hwy I have always been at a steady speed & it seems to like starting up when I am cresting a hill. At first it feels like the brakes have gently been applied & released. It kinda repeats that feeling but w/ a slow loss in power & trying to give it gas will just make things worst. What I have found is that if I shift down a gear which naturally picks up the rpms it will help clear things up & will usually run fine until the next episode, which might happen a mile or two later or not until a day or two later. Only once it became so bad that I pulled off the road for a while & looked things over. This happened on some back roads w/ a few stops & speeds under 45mph. After about 20 mins I started the car up & was able to continue on my way w/o any further trouble.
