Ok I have been dealing with this problem for sometime now, but now I have some time no my hands and I really want to fix it. I have been dealing with this for a little over 1 year now.
When I startup the car my volt gauge sits on 10 volts and the battery dies in about 20 minutes. I can blip the throttle to 2,600-2,800 rpms and my charge jumps up to 12 volts. The car idles high for a few seconds then settles down to normal. After I blip the throttle the alt charges the battery fine.
All this happened after I put in a new alt ground wire on. I have then put in two new alts and a new voltage regulator. I also have a new battery.
Any thoughts??
