It sounds to me like you have a problem with the ABS system. Your car dies not have a vacuum booster, so grommets are not the issue.
First, turn the ignition on without starting the car. You should hear the ABS pump run until the brake warning lights go out. If the pump keeps running after the lights go out, suspect a sticking pump relay. This relay is easily replaced(in seperate relay box over near the P/S reservoir).
If pump did not overrun, then with the ignition still on, pump the brake pedal rapidly until the brake warning lights come on again. A fresh pressure resevoir(brake bomb) will keep the lights out for >12 pumps. If the lights come on in 4-5 pumps, the resevoir is not holding pressure and needs to be replaced(not cheap...a few hundered $$$, cheaper from site sponsors like sobstory). You can replace the bomb yourself.
If the reservoir checks out OK, then you might have a bad ABS pressure switch or the motor is on its way out. Both can be replaced seperately. The motor can be done with the ABS unit in place, but is not easy. I have a hunch that you have a bad pressure switch.
It is also good practice to clean all the electrical connector contacts and relay sockets. Finally, a good Saab shop will have an ABS code reader to detect any stored faults.
