Grounding problems after powder coating parts...

I finally figured out a major problem this weekend on my SPG.
It turns out that the two grounds on top of the intake manifold were not grounded 100% due to the powder coating.
There was some ground there as the car would run, but the resistance was too much for the AMM to function properly and caused my car to run super rich.
After grinding down the two grounding holes to bare metal and running another ground wire from the front frame rail to this bracket, the problem is fixed.
I'm surprised that no one else has seen this problem since there are a few of us that have everything powder coated.
Also, does chroming do the same thing? What about the jet-hot coating?
