I got stuck in a similar situation 2 years ago but it was a private deal. Flew out from Miami to Chicago, the whole 9. Headgaskets went during the trip home, gas smell, broken gas gauge, speedo, A/C, rust, worn ball joints, etc...and I'm still not through!! That big liar, and I am out of nearly 7K since that time. Long story but go ahead now and cut your losses. There is always something that will go wrong and cost you big-time like the recently broken cable in my driverside posterior electric seat! Some of the most insignificant things break on this car, things that just wouldn't in non-quirky cars like turn signal stalks that don't stay in place when you signal for a turn. If you are a DYI'er then keep it. If I could do it all over, I'd have said good riddens, and been several grand richer!
