Just one bit of warning though. It has to with your being "tickled pink" at owning a Saab. For every Saab owner that's happy, there's an equal number of miserable owners. It works like this: as soon as you fix that dash light, another Saab owner somewhere in the world (could even be you) experiences his or her lights going out, or some other maintenance issue of equal hassle. No one knows when it started or who started it, but it's just the way it is. Most owners just learn to live with it, while some of us devise elaborate means in the attempt to avoid the inevitable, but in the end we're only fooling ourselves. Some even claim immunity, but then some people believe the earth is flat. Just know that regardless of when and where you might be hit with the continuum, we're here to help in any way we can. One thing that does help is if you warn the rest of us when you do fix something so we can be on the alert for a continuum shift. It's both a neighborly gesture and a way of boasting about your mechanical skills here on this BB.
Regarding that dash light - if turning the rotating knob on the dash doesn't fix the problem, then the lights are probably blown. Replacing them isn't all that difficult, you just have to find the bulbs somewhere. Many of us find replacement parts in local car recycling yards where you pay a small fee to walk through rows of scraped cars in search of good used parts. And if you happen to find a scrap yard that has a Mexican food truck parked outside the gate, well then you have a good reason to make going there a weekend ritual.
