The 1988 SPG will most definately employ the B202 16 valve turbocharged engine. This 16 valve designation should also be specified(cast into) the valve cover face.
There are several modifications that could be performed without incurring cost and the most popular is relative to the APC. Try a search on this BB for the DIY "tweaking"/tailoring of APC control unit potentiometers which will render a 4-5 psi boost pressure increase. We typically factor a 5 BHP gain per turbocharger boost pressure psi increment to the B202 engine which should easily allow you to reach your 20 BHP goal.
You could also search for fuel enhancement, ignition diaphragm modifications(DIY/no charge), etc.
