Wow! I like the attitude on this thread.
I have done many clutches on my back (sounds kinky, doesn't it?) so this was different.
I didn't find the 90 900S especially easy as the hydraulic system was on its last legs and I could only get a 0.100 wire for the compression tool then I had to gradually increase it to the point I could squeeze/roll the disc and pressure plate out. I religiously pull the flywheel and replace the crank main seal on any clutch I do.
I like the pilot bearing fix. I am also one to try to fix things and I have a number of wild fixes in my book.
Flywheels are funny - if they are really shiny (glazed), they are more subject to chatter. Sooooo - deglaze them by using a grinder (a 4" grinder works great but I've used an 8" high speed metal grinder in a pinch) and spin the flywheel so the surface gets a even reflectivity. This is quite an effective approach for all but the most grooved and damaged flywheels.
Have fun!
