These setups typically have the inline antenna hookup, which is easily installed behind the radio. Your antenna will still work fine. Theoretically, there will be slight signal loss, but not noticable. You can grab power for the modulator and CD changer or whatever device from the plugs to the back of the radio cage. Typically you will need a ground (black wire), a constantly powered connection and a switched power connection. Bentley has the wiring diagram and so does townsendimports.com. Or you can use a meter to find the ground, switched and unswitched power leads by trial and error.
Pull out the radio and remove the cage by prying gently on the outer lips to disengage the tabs. All the wiring is on the back of the cage. One plug is for speakers(leave alone), and the other bifg plug is for power(where you take the power). There will also be a DIN connector for you EQ and another for the antenna up/down(leave alone).
Use inline splice connectors to avoid wire stripping and soldering.
The control unit will normally fit nicely out of sight above the passenger air duct in the footwell. Then, you can run the wires from the control unit to the changer/device which can go under the passenger seat, in the glove compartment or under the spare tire lid over on the passenger side, depending on your preference. There usually will also be a small display device that can be fastened to the dash or in the console cubby. Wiring for this can be hidden behind the console. If you want to put the display in the cubby, you can cut a hole in the plastic cubby.
