Suggest the following. Remove the clutch plastic cover. Leave engine off. Wedge piece of 2x4 of correct length between clutch pedal and driver seat so that clutch pedal is on the floor. Now look at the clutch friction disc. The disc leaf springs between the two friction plates should be expanded. It should also be possible to use a screwdriver on the circumference of the disc at one the pressure plate strap openings to easily turn the disc with the tranny in neutral. If you can't do this, chances are the compressed disk is too thick. Saab factory tranny book says non-turbo compressed clutch disc friction material should not be thicker than 7.11 and 7.62 mm. Turbo compressed disc friction material should not be thicker than 6.86 to 7.37 mm.
