Knee bolster is out and switch removed!!! Now I just have to wait for the new one and put it all back together.

Now to the rant. What is wrong with people? The hack job on the wiring on this switch was downright unsafe, as a matter of fact it had heated enough to melt the tape!!!! While there, I noticed several other splices that I must address. When working on cars, please at least used insulated sta-kons or solder and tape carefully! You are just asking to catch your car on fire with just twisted wire connections. I'll bet I'll have at least 2 hours worth of re-wiring and taping to make me feel safe about it.

BTW any other things I need to look for/at while that PITA knee bolster is off?
