I put everything back where it goes - got bright BATT light with key on. Started raining so I didn't have time to test stuff yet - but, so far so good. I hate working on electrical stuff, especially outdoors in the rain. It's hard getting stuff from a local dealer here. When I bought the '86 (eight years ago) there was a dealer about ten miles from here. Nowadays the nearest dealer is a about a three hour drive East or West(one in Mobile, one in New Orleans). Needless to say, I can find NO decent Saab mechanic nearby, either. Do you know if Bentley manuals are available? Seems like I'm either gonna have to learn to do some of this myself, or at least be able to back-track on any work, or ............... (perish the thought) give in to my spouse's wishes and part with my Saab. Better find a good manual, I think! Thanks for your help.
