high idle around 1200 if not surging between 1200 and 1800. As a cajun would say, "explain me this." I have checked continuity between pins 2,3,and 4 on the AMM connector and pins 6, 7, and 8 respectively on the LH control unit connector and there are no breaks. I get a ground on pins 1,2,and 3 BUT on page 240-14 in Bentley it state there should be "ground at pin 4". I get an open. BUT, I also get the correct voltage to make the wire glow AND I saw the wire glowing today. I will check the NTC sensor again tomorrow for the reverse ohms process.
I installed a new oxygen sensor monday. I have the cleanest AIC in the world and lubricated internally with both WD-40 and Kroil. I have removed the throttle body and cleaned it completely. The resistance is correct at the AIC plug. I have continuity between the O2 sensor and pin 24 on the LH connector. The car idles at 850 until it warms up and the O2 sensor kicks in. Unplugging the O2 sensor actually lowers the idle.
I have read strange things such as replacing the knock sensor solved someone's high and erratic idle problem. Can one open the top of the AMM and clean and resolder? I am checking for vacuum leaks constantly. I recently removed the AC compressor and dryer and put in ALL new motor mounts and new upper ball joints and swapped inner drivers, adding new bearing and seals. I think my throttle position sensor is correct but maybe I need a slight adjustment there. Honestly, the car does 100 mph smoothly but i must solve the idle issue. Tomorrow I will do all the checks on page 240-21. Help me think. please.
