Hello everyone! I need some help. I have searched all over the web and have tried to make sense of the vac hose diagram, but, I am a noob!
Eventually, I would like to get my relatively new to me, 1990 900T, off of base boost and to that end, I have done the following basic steps first.
I have changed all the fluids and am working on the filters. I have changed out the spark plugs, the wires look rather new, but their Bosch 7mm and from what I have read here, I will be replacing them with Bougicord. I have bought new vac hose to replace the drying hoses that are on there, but, I have some questions. I still need to replace the distributor and rotor for good measure. The plugs that were in there were Bosch and they were gapped to .036. The elbow on top of the vac cannister is disintegrating and they have it taped up with duct tape.

The cruise works fine, the hose to the turbo gauge was not plugged in to the T the previous owner has rigged up, I fixed that. The way the owner has the hoses all over, just doesn't look right to me and I have a pic of them to show you.

Also, I found the APC solenoid unbolted and just hanging down in front of the fans. BTW, I had accidentally knocked off the wastegate hose and found out that it can boost like crazy. What a difference! Don't worry, it didn't take me long to notice the difference, as you can imagine, and I hooked it back up immediately.

Also, there is a fitting in the lower corner (closest to the firewall) of the intake, with a double nipple that has a vac hose connected to each nipple, creating a loop. Is that supposed to be there? I didn't see that on the vac diagram at all.

If some of you saavy saab folks could please take a gander at these pics and offer any advice, I sure would appreciate it.
