My great great great Croatian Grandfather, a coal miner, emigrated from Slovenia (Trieste) to America in 1869, and because his papers listed Slovenia as point of departure, my family has long believed we are Slovenian. I too believed that until a Croatian co-worker told me that my name is Croatian, and that we are originally from an Adriatic island called Split located just off the Croatian coast. He went to school with my relatives and visited the resort island many times, staying with my relatives. One day I hope to visit my namesake homeland as well.

I have a car related question for you: what is the most popular make of car in your part of the world? Surely not SAAB. Good luck with your new C900!
