We sort of treat things that scroll off the page as archives.
If the new battery keeps holding a charge, then the problem was probably related to your old battery. The ignition switch was a problem separate from the whatever caused the old battery to go south unless it didn't completely shut off some things and led to a current drain.
If the doesn't hold a charge, then it's likely that the ground cable, grounds, battery cables, or alternator bushings still need to be looked at.
