900 TC prices

Is it me, or do the prices of early Saab convertibles look like they are really declining these days? I was potentially looking to sell my current '90 900 which has been nearly completely restored, inside and out, but with the asking prices of lower mileage vert's I dont stand a chance. All the careful mods made to my engine, wheels, leather, suspension, etc aren't even considered in the price tag. Looks like mileage is king even if every part was replaced or rebuilt.
I think I bit off more than I could chew. I doubt anyone will appreciate the work I have put into my car these past 4 years. what's the point of selling if I will lose literally more than 12K on a sale? I'd rather let it gather dust and drive once a year than lose that much money.
Funny, my '89 Porsche 944 Turbo S keeps increasing in value from year to year. If only I knew then what I know now. It kind of puts a bad taste in my mouth. Makes me wonder if the Saab will reach a point where it becomes a collector car to insurance companies. doubtful.
Just my $0.02
