84 was the last year for 8 valve turbos in US and then in 85 they started to use the 16V engine instead. In Sweden the 16V engine was introduced in the 84 model.
I wonder if it is a special import of some sort?
Nothing much really in maintaining that car compared to the others, but as you say, it is always a good idea to let the car idle some extra seconds after start up to let the oil reach the turbo impellar bearing and also let the car idle some seconds before shutting off if you have been pushing the car hard for the last run before you reach your destination.
Change ALL the fluids (engine, tranny, brake, coolant) when you get it if you don't get proof that it was done recently.
