Thanks for the photo. This helped me to locate the cable end and drill out the rivot. I also found that what I thought was the wing nut was actually a large nut where the trunk lid attached (feeling a little stupid). Once I peeled back the carpet, there is was and took about 10 seconds to remove.
The car is an 88. I've removed the old top and am not just starting the re-assembly.
Any tips on getting the headliner back attached on bows 2 and 3? They were a bear to get off and I am anticipating difficulty when I get to that step.
