Vibration that comes and goes...

First of all, thanks to everyone who posted replies to my previous message recommending me to change my water pump myself. Boy was it a dirty mess, but doing the whole job for $40 was excellent!
After I finished I drove around for a few days and all was well... Before my '88 900S retired for about a month with the bad pump, it would vibrate - more accurately, it felt like there was some little man pushing the front end from side to side as I went down the street. The vibration feels like it's coming from the front end and up around 50 mph, the hood starts to wobble slightly. I put on new tires all around - still there. It seems to only do it when warmed up and under load at low speeds or under no load at higher speeds. It does it in every gear too - plus, when it worsens as the axle warms, the shifter starts to wobble in unison.
I know the inner CV on the right side is a bit of an achilles heel... I had the right axle replaced last year but I don't know yet if that included the inner CV with it - I need to check with my mechanic.
In the meantime, any hints as to what this may be??? After 208,000 on the clock there's a whole slew of things waiting to go I imagine. To add, transmission was replaced three years ago so I'm pretty sure it's not to do with any gears giving up.
Thanks a bunch!
