I would like some more fan speed, but the 3 setting is so loud!! There are several things that could help cabin comfort, and since our cars were "Borne from Jets" LOL, we need to remember how pilots stay warm. Electric suits in the old days ladies and gentlemen. So, to avoid putting in a 200 amp alternator I offer these suggestions for cabin comfort. But first, think that this is like the heating system in your house.

1) Insulate -- if there are any leaks or obvious ways to insulate the outside from the inside, then make those improvements.

2)Additional fan speed over the heater core may just cool off the heater core, and it can't recover fast enough -- the internal performance could be hampered by deposits, thereby insulating the innards. Inbound water temperature must be high enough to take advantage of the ability of the heater core to transfer heat. Slower fan speed may work better actually.

3)In an older Ferrari I worked on, it had an adjustable rollup "blind" to block the radiator cooling. There was a crank inside the cockpit to send it up and down - that way you could adjust the radiator efficiency, and use the heater core to cool the engine!! The low speed heater would bellow out 200 degree heat to keep you nice and toasty when it was 30 below in the alps.

4) So, if you are planning to run more CFMs over that heater core, then make sure that you have enough alternator to run it at low RPMs, and the water is hot enough inbound to make any difference.

5) Take your stock blower motor to a rewinder and ask him to juice it up. I haven't looked at the air handler for the blower, so I can suggest how to boost it's efficiency -- I imagine that they have it maxed out. One thing you could try is it minimize the gap in the inlet side of the blower fan/shroud interface -- this will help the ability to "pull" air. In jet engines, this is done by making the inlet turbine wheel almost strike the shroud of the inlet. The larger the gap, the lower the performance of the device.

6) Are there resistors on the "3" setting? If so, then maybe ditch them and run a heavy jumper to the battery to get max juice -- also, make sure you have a bigass battery for low engine RPMs!!
