Re: Thankiny'alls -- getting closer to timing Nirvana Posted by Landjet [Email] ![]() ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Re: Sure!, Jonathan Scupin ![]() ![]() |
Getting a few misses in third at WOT going through 5K Rpm -- boost kicks down from 14 to 12 -- I may be hitting the limit on the pressure transducer and sending a message to the controller. I have a mityvac to check the advance retard, and variable timing light. Though I don't know if it all is in any kind of calibration, it should be close enough. I also now have a boost gauge compliments of a fellow saaber, and in the nuetral position it reads neg 2PSI -- so if the gauge is reading 12 down to 10, then it is really 14 down to 12 -- I am going to hook both gauges I have to get a common reading for comparison. I have the NGK iridiums and getting techron in the tank today. All the ignition parts are new.
I am thinking that the timing is not retarding as I have the 850 rpm setting at 18 degrees (taking into consideration the additional 2 degrees in the Commemorative distributor).
