I've done two engine pulls, one under primitive conditions and one in a well-equiped shop. I see those who already posted in answer to your querry have covered the essentials. Here's one more - the power steering pump bracket bushing.
More than likely you won't be able to remove the taper pin at the shift rod connection with the engine in the car. You will be able to seperate the two by loosening the c-clamp, but that means you'll have at least 4 or five inches of extra shaft in the way when you try and remove the engine. Push the rod into the tranny (second or fourth) to minimize that length. Also, you'll have to rotate the engine as you pull it out to avoid ripping the power steering hoses and the right side brake line with that long shaft. That's if you have the radiator and housing still in place. Without the radiator and housing, engine pull and install is relatively painless. The good news about the taper pin is that with the engine removed, you'll be able to easily remove that pin, making the engine reinstall that much easier. For tips on removing that taper pin, do a search. Lots of info.
