Perhaps all that needs done is to tighten the manifold nuts. You don't say what year the car/engine is, but it's also possible that one of the studs has broken. Very common. As far as length go, there's just two - long and short, and they're standard lengths and thread size, so they'll be easy to purchase. Removal method is basically with a heavy duty vice grip pliers, gripping around the widest part (non-thread). And the use of PB. You don't want to shear one of them off inside the head. To avoid that you should loosen a little, then retighten, loosen more, then retighten. Do that for the first few rotations, plus using PB, and you should be fine. I've also heard of heating them up with a torch, then cooling a bit before rotating them out. I'm sure a search will offer up some more tips and experiences.
