I had changed out all three mounts myself recently (85 900 manual). My forward mount looked "ok" but was not (minor cracked rubber), the pass side mount looked "ok" but was not (spongy rubber but not broken), and the drivers side looked bad and it was really bad. My drivers side had to be moving around a lot....Forward mount was the last done and it made the largest difference...car literally drives like new....
Suggestions:
Could have an observer look at the mounts as you put the car under load with park brake and driver brake...engine would move with sound.
1. make sure the side mount 13mm backing nuts are tight
2. make sure the C bracket on the front mount and its bolts are in tack.
