i wouldnt worrie to much about it, i had just replaced mine with a non oem, the only thing that will make or break the installation is how clean you can get the tracks where the new gasket fits into and that theres no oil on the head where the gasket sits on, after its all done you will know after you take your car round the block, when looking at the motor if everything was cleaned right, you will find no oil leaks from the vaulve cover.
if you happen to find a little oil leak or build up, the gasket track was`nt cleaned well enuff or there was a oil residue that wasnt cleaned off on the head befor the cover was put back on.
so if there is a leak after the installation its not becouse the part wasnt oem.
one more thing if its not done right the first time you will need to order another gasket, the gaskets are not reusable.'
my non oem gasket i can say fits like a glove.
