I have been taking my saab to the shop for 3 years now and plan to learn to fix it on my own as time permits. recently, i had an engine mount replaced and now i have hard brakes and ABS light is on. Fuses work. Fluid is fine. It remains in a shop in San Antonio and they guy says that the alternator fan is catching the ABS switch and turning off the pump. The two parts are now very close to eachother apparently. How do I fix this? Do I replace the remaining engine mounts? Would shorter belts keep the fan from contacting the switch? Apologies, I'm new.
