when the switch works, the brake works great. Once it contacts the alternator, the pedal will go to the floor once and after that it gets hard quick. I have left it at EKG and only drove it in the parking lot. Without the power assist, the pedal is hard and braking is minimal and slow. No real grab. I bet I would glide 20-50 yds before it would stop if going 35mph. Ed said that the brake works fine as long as the fan doesn't pull out the wire to the pump. He thought that the new mount put the two parts near eachother and was trying to find the simplest, least expensive, and permanent solution to my problem. Somehow, I have to find a way to keep the two parts from touching. If it happens at highway speed, it will be a mess.
