Clutch losing pressure and leaking, what do I look for?

Hi,
'90 900 Turbo, probably 160k mi (not sure b/c previous owner turned back, odo says 34k and that can't be right)
Started loosing clutch pressure occasionally, where gears would start to re-engage at a lower point in the pedal. Now I can have pedal to the floor, and the car will occasionally engage "on its own." I am also now leaking rather considerably.
Bentley manual is in the mail, and rebuild kits (o-rings) for both master and slave.
Several questions in the end:
Is a rebuild of the seals likely to stop my leaking?
What else should I be looking for while I am in there?
Is the leaking more likely due to a leaking seal, or is it from a leaking/rusted line/hose?
Finally, while I have the master and slave cylinders apart, is there anything else I should be looking over for signs of wear or other problems to look for while I am in there?
My background, I'm handy but never worked inside the engine compartment on major items before. Replaced exhaust, flushed all fluids myself on cars before, but this is my first C900 (I had a NG previously, and returning to the addiction).
Any and all advice is appreciated.
