Where is it leaking? Under the bellhousing? Or is it weeping from the rubber part of the hydraulic line?
Just for the heck of it, check to see whether the bleeder screw and the rest of the hydraulic fittings are tight (not *too* tight, just not leaking.)
Usually the symptoms you describe are due to a failing master cylinder, but nothing rules out multiple failures.
One of the things about dealing with the clutch slave is that it's one step removed from replacing the clutch disc (follow the link below for more info on the procedure.) The step that's removed is putting a new clutch disc in :-)
Be prepared for a long day of dirt and frustration with things like the plastic clutch cover and moving the various hoses out of the way.
Some people have success with rebuilding clutch slaves and masters, some don't. It depends on the condition of the units. If you're lucky, the spring in the master cylinder won't be broken.
When you get in there, you will want to replace the pilot bearing and the primary shaft seal at the very least. Depending on how much friction material is left on the disc, you may want to replace that.
There are a lot more hints to ciomplete the procedure. Nothing cosmic, but a few things that will make it a bit easier. So, if you haven't been scared away from the project, as questions and we'll be glad to help. Where are you? Maybe there's someone on the board that can assist.
