Yes, I do use the 1 year interval, but top mileage is about 15,000 for me. This has been used on NEW cars after an initial 2000 mile break-in with factory oil. With a turbo, I would definately use the remote bypass filters they offer, as they super-clean the oil, filetring out very fine contaminants They also offer oil analysis, which should be your true evaluation of when to change your oil, because it takes all the variables into account.

The new Amsoil Ea filters are the first filters they offer for 25K service. Previously they told you to change their old SDF filters at 12K or 6 months. Even still, their bypass filters do a much better job of cleaning oil.

Amsoil has different formulations for different applications. They offer an XL series formulated for 7500 miles, which does not have the same cleansing properties as their other oils. This is recommended for older vehicles changing to synthetic for the first time. When changing older engines to the higher mileage formulas, it tends to clean out old deposits & varnishes. Sometimes thes deposits are the only thing keeping your engine from leaking. It WILL find any weak spots clean them and leaks WILL develop.

If you feel more comfortable changing at a 7500 mile interval or less, then you should consider the XL series instead.
