NO GREASE! You don't want grease anywhere in your hydraulics - petro products deteriorate rubber and contaminate the fluid. Maybe put a bit of brake fluid on the seal rings to lube them. But no grease.
As far as taking the slave apart goes - pull the piston out and push the center part of the housing back to separate it from the outer part of the housing. The O-rings go in the grooves. It'll be obvious when you get the parts of the slave cylinder apart.
