i dug into this with out looking just how hard it was going to be to remove the pump from its little home, after i removed the pump and all its hoses from the motor it just floping around i must of tryed every angle to pull this thing out, it wasnt till after i talked with a good friend that it was sagested to jack up the motor,.. after i fought with this pump for ... must of been a good 1 or 2 it was only 5 min after i jacked up the motor that it sliped out (working from passenger side looking down into the motor), with the car on the ground run a jack under the gearbox, i loosened the nut to the motor mount on the passenger side (didnt take the nut off just raised it till it was 2" up or till it gets to the top of its screw, then jacked the motor up (dont raise the car off the ground just raise the motor up 2 to 3 inches). the pump with bracket attached comes out right under... or is it over the exsaust manifold, i forget how-ever the pumps bracket needs to be spun as to fit/pull out its little hole, but after the motor was jacked up it will give the room for removal (its got to be twisted all differnt kinds of ways but it works
the install is the reverse of everything your doing, just remember the twists and turns of taken the bad one out and the new one will go in easy,
Ms is right the task is whacked out, hard as crap but when its done,.. its done.
