I don't want to discourage a new saab 900 owner in any way but I have gone through two 900 engines in the last 2 months due to overheating. These engines will somehow run forever as long as you keep them cool. The first time the cooling fan didn't come on(suggest wiring a manual on/off switch in series) and the engine got hot quick. The second time, was the hose you are replacing. I was too cheap to replace 15 year old hoses(STUPID ME!) and that hose leaked and dumped the coolant from the head, and ovferheated! Blew the headgasket and who knows whatever else. I get all my parts from http://www.eeuroparts.com, and have always been a satisfied customer, with free shipping and rock bottom prices. You can replace ALL the hoses for around $50.00. The rubber gets old and rots, and cracks. It can look great on the outside but be shot on the inside. And they are easy to change yourself. Please learn from my mistakes and keep your saab on the road, and off the curb.
