This might seem hokey, but if it doesn't come out after working it with a dowel or rod then blow compressed air into the clutch line hole. Just be ready to catch the pieces (-:
Alternatively, maybe you could insert a stiff wire into the clutch line hole and push on the end of the piston (can't remember how big the hole is so not sure you can get a wire strong enough to fit). This will likely destroy the seals, but you are rebuilding it anyway.
You might also try to squirt some kind of a lube in there to help free things up.
