The idea of doing the cylinder rebuild in the car being to keep it very simple, and avoid the knuckle-busting work of detaching (and later re-attaching) things like the line at master cylinder, if you want to blast it out with compressed air, try applying it at the slave cylinder, either thru the bleed screw, cracked open, or through the line after disconnecting it.
But be ready for a goddawful mess inside the car, or cover up with lots of newspapers against it, as it blasts all that dirty brake fluid all over.
And if you haven't pulled the feed line off the brake reservoir already, and let that drain into a small cup, be ready for that to trickle down and out after you get the piston out.
