Fellow SAABers:
Like so many of you I am stuck in a pickle with my car, and would really appreciate some insight, if possible...
I have recently Installed new NGK BP7es PLugs, and installed new Plug-wires that I cut and crimped ends for and installed that I bought from the local auto sparts store. I have also just installed a new MSD BLaster high vibration coil, however, even after all of this my car will still skip or buck when the engine is on, and It doesn't matter the speed or if it's hot or cold. I have noticed that It occurs or is more noticeable inbetween the 2k to 3.5k rmp marks, though. When im just cruising through a parking lot in 1st or 2nd, the car will buck sometimes there too and it jolts the whole car/drivetrain pretty hard.
The only other strange thing happenning, is that sometimes the battery light will come on and go off flickering and soemtimes staying on for a minute or two, and sometimes revving the engine helps to make it go away other times not, and usually after I've been running it in hot weather or driving spiritedly. the batt light's blinking and the bucking do not seem to happen at the same time though.
Could these two problems be related?
Could the alternator or voltage regulator be at fault? THe ignition pulse amplifier? Is there any wiring that I should check? (already checked the alternator connections)
Thanks in advance fellow SAABers!
