you missed the point of removing the battery. then nothing gets blown. yes, the clock is a minor load so you would show some continuity. that is why I mentioned turning on the key and headlights. that would help you to see what a larger load would be. you could adjust the meter to a higher resistance to mask out the very low loads. Then you could trouble shoot. Of course you could also remove the fuse that runs the clock too...


but if you'd rather run power through the meter by hooking in up in series with the battery... could you take pictures of the meter after applying a good load?
