Sounds like you have a good car on your hands! &nice collection.
I see a few C900's where I live, most 87 &on, like you said. I like the 87 &on look, but I prefer the pre '87, "boxy" front end. My first turbocharged Saab was an '85 SPG, I was 18 years old &thats where my addiction began, since, I have owned another '85, two '88's, &two '86's, all SPG's. I had an '00 9-3 SE as well for a while. My daily driver is an '86 SPG that I love &will never part with :) They look very unique. The '84 model you had in '91 sounds really cool with all those accesories, that must have been a sharp looking car :)
The old C900's do still turn heads, sadly, many saabers I meet on the road are driving a new 9-3 or 9-5, and don't so much as look when I meet them, I'm thinking it's because there not up on Saab history, I notice every saab I see and look at it with appreciation :)
I wouldn't part it, especially if it runs so well &brings back fond memories! Thats why I bought my latest SPG (My '86) because I had so many great memories in my '85 SPG, whenever I drive my car, I remember all the fun I had in my first one when I was a lot younger.
I live in Northern Maine...I don't see many nice older C900's, most of them are rusted out, covered with stickers all over the hatch, and have been through a lot of people, we gotta keep 'em alive :)
Have fun
