I own a 2002 9-5 Aero Estate Hirsch Performance (290 HP) and a 1991 Turbo Convertible (160 HP). Guess which one is a mess! (but it kicks ass too, I mustadmit). Tons of expensive problems on the 9-5 (got a EUR 1500 bill for the clutch this week - at 115Kkm)
The thing is you must choose your 900 well and I'd recommend to include some money for an overhaul in the purchase budget.
I bought mine from the first owner, a retiree who never drove it in winter, spent about EUR 500 on exhaust, shocks, sparks, a small leak on the gearbox and fixing the A/C!!! and drove happily ever after.
So: spend as much as possible to get a nice one you like and you'll really take good care of and it will be the best deal - whether you keep it or sell it off again.
