Scantech arms: The welds on mine appear to be good quality, and the finish is not peeling off after ~30k miles (though I live in a salt-free region). IIRC, they were made in Korea -- that's a good thing, in my mind. I think the OEM arms are a waste of money.
I changed out the opposite side arm when I r&r'd a bad one.
Without a press, the bushings are a pain. I did mine at ~150k and could not tell the difference between old/new.
BTW, 92-93 arms have a different part number. I have not closely examined old with new, but it may be that the difference solves the cracking problem (perhaps they use different steel??). It seems unusual that they would change the design for the last two years of production given the part had already been made unchanged for over a decade -- the only conclusion I can draw relates to fatigue failures. Just conjecture...
