I was on my way back to detroit MI (6 hour drive) and about 30 minutes in...I tried gently passing around someone turning into a driveway off the highway, and the car just started sputtering and then died. It started right back up...but was idling slightly rough, so i tried to continue on. As soon as i put a little load on the motor (50% throttle or so) It started to sputter...but didn't die, as i let off, and let it settle down.
I turned around and headed back for home, and just tested it the whole way home....and consistently when i'd give the engine just a little load....or if i'd try to get up to 55mph...it would start sputtering really bad. Also, whenever i'd slow down from speed to a stop....the car would die.....but would start up immediately, without hesitation as soon as i'd come to a stop and restart it.
I was thinking fuel filter....but I'm new to saabs, so i don't know much. The plugs/rotor, and cap were all replaced right before i purchased the car. Any ideas would be appreciated.
