A good Saab independant or any shop with a quality (like, Snap-on) coolant pressure tester should be able to locate an external coolant leak in minutes. It's basically like a tire pump with an adapter to fit on the reservoir. You screw it on, pump up a few PSI and see where the coolant is squirting out. Then you fix it. Someone should do that before they start talking head gasket. If you want to do it yourself then adapt an air pressure source (which you can regulate to less than 15 PSI) and attach it to the cooling system bleed nipple which is near the thermostat. Cheers.
