for about $ 4 in parts you can make your own power bleeder...and of course a bicycle pump as well. The key is the rubber pipe union that comes with two clamps, you have to get one that will fit snugly over MC resevoir. I guess plumbers do the same thing to check pipes for air leaks....works like a charm. Don't think that you want teflon tape on the slave bleeder nipple, possibly a tapered thread that doesn't need it...check for cracks around the bleeder nipple....was it a pain to remove? you may have damaged the threads...or cracked the fitting which can suck air. I always run a length of clear tubing to a jar of fluid from the bleeder so I can see the bubbles, and iif any vaccuum is present, it will suck fluid not air back in.
