I had to replace my slave which gave out. Did get the new slave in but had a problem with reinserting the clutch as the fingers needed to be further Depressed.
I cut a 2x4 into a 3.5in sq., placed it in the middle of the clutch-evenly covering the fingers, Jacked up the front wheel and lowered it upon block of wood which sat on top of the clutch- this adequately depressed the fingers such that I could further "tuck" a 3/16 threaded (Manually bent/circular shaped) rod into the finger "knuckles" all around the clutch face.
Put the plate in place in the engine and then was able to use the new slave to depress and remove the 3/16the threaded rod.
Watch your fingers and make sure you block the wheeels nothing rolls!
Good luck
