I don't have an answer to that question right now... :) It's me and the guys who ran in the LeMons race back in October. We've talked about possibly getting involved in NASA or SCCA or something, but I personally have neither the time nor the money to commit to anything even remotely like that right now. Other folks in the group might very well go down that road, however.
Best guess is that we'll build this thing to "good enough" and do some open track days in it, get everyone some seat time in a low pressure environment. I'm honestly planning on following our LeMons build to a T - that car worked out so well on so many levels I think it's an excellent starting point. A mostly stock c900 that's been completely gutted and caged made for a surprisingly quick, easy to drive car and we're all interested to see what a $500 Saab is actually capable of when it's not getting the snot knocked out of it.
I'm not sure whether we'll actually continue to develop it, or send it back to LeMons in July, or lose interest entirely. Only time will tell... But we've got all the gear from the '90 900T we ran at LeMons, and we're only short the shell to make a race car again, so.... :)
Somewhat related, I know Damien and I are very anxious to see how those Quaiffes work out. He's got a Phantom Grip "LSD" in his SPG right now, and he is not in any way satisfied with it. We were down at Buttonwillow last week, and while it's better than the factory open diff, as Damien put it, the PG is a 25% solution with a 50% price tag. If there's good feedback on the Quaiffe unit, I'm pretty sure there are two more customers... :)
