Installed rebuilt AMM and WOW!

I installed a 'brand new' rebuilt (by injection labs) AMM and my 85 900t is so much more responsive and feels much quicker than before. My old AMM was even calibrated last week using the adjustment screw (found on early model units ending with 005), so I know that it was working and calibrated.
I guess sometimes the AMM just dies, but it looks like a lot of times they just fade away, embezzling performance along the way.
It may be a good idea to keep a rebuilt AMM in your garage and periodically swap it into your car to check if there's any improvement. I guess a lot of people already have a spare one handy, but only think to swap it in when diagnosing a no start problem.
